gaaah!

I feel stupid and angry, and this is why!

My boss sits behind me in a cozy room where the creative department operates.   I get a conversation-like email from her (while she is right behind me), and it basically says this:

I noticed you’ve been leaving at 5 and you’re really supposed to be here till 5:30, unless you take a half lunch or arrive early. Also, do you really still need your personal computer? If your work computer doesn’t have something that you need, let me know.

That’s the gist of it, but it was in an even more passive aggressive drawn out mess.  I’ve been working there for about 2 months and had it in my head that this is a 9-5 job.  But people keep flexible hours as long as they are there 7.5 hours  But my math-illiterate brain didn’t add up that 9-5 plus an hour lunch is only 7 hours.  I didn’t even think about it.  I left when I thought I could leave and was seriously being a dumbass for 2 months.  Nobody called me out on it and corrected me as a newbie.  And now right around employee evaluation time I get this sneaky little email..   haha!  It really is kind of funny.  Am I intimidating or something?  Why did they let me keep being a dumbass for 2 months?
